Meet the artists
Meet Bilquis Evely
Bilquis Evely, originally from São Paulo, began her career with the Brazilian comic Luluzinha Teen e Sua Turma. She then ventured into the American market, contributing to Dynamite’s Doc Savage and Shaft. In 2015, Evely started working with DC Comics, illustrating various titles, including Sugar & Spike, Wonder Woman, and The Dreaming. In 2020, she collaborated with Tom King and Matheus Lopes on the acclaimed miniseries Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Following that, the same creative team developed the book Helen of Wyndhorn. Evely’s work has won multiple awards, including Eisner Awards for best penciller/inker and an Inkpot Award for achievements in comic arts.
Meet Matheus Lopes
Matheus "Mat" Lopes is a self-taught Brazilian colorist born in 1991, who began learning his craft through online message boards. He has worked regularly in the comic industry since 2012. He's passionate about nature and oil painting, and takes great inspiration in both of those things in his coloring career.
